What is THE 6IXTY?
It's time for THE 6IXTY!
Brand new innovations. Brand new tournament. Same ol' cuss outs.
This week saw the launch of The 6IXTY, a 60 ball tournament with a set of innovations that had cricket traditionalists doing up faces contorted with rage.
Here at Caribbean Cricket Podcast we did what we do best, namely find people involved in the decision making to talk us through the process.
You dont have to like the advent of The 6IXTY, heck you may still hate it no matter what, but listen to our conversation with Chris Watson (CPL Head of Marketing) to understand the concept a bit further.

West Indies defeat Bangladesh by 7 wickets: 1st test review
West Indies secure their grip on 6th place in the World Test Championship following a dominant 7 wicket victory over Bangladesh.
In truth this match was won by the 15th over of the first session on the first day. Despite some late drama on day three West Indies never looked in trouble and went on to record a very comfortable victory early on day four.
Machel St Patrick Hewitt (@mashstpaddy) jumped into the hot seat to look at the positives and areas for improvement following the victory.
He also took time to hand out the world famous Caribbean Cricket Podcast post-match ratings. Do you agree with him?

West Indies cricket legacy with devoted supporter Albert Marquez (Netherlands vs West Indies)
West Indies cricket legacy with devoted supporter Albert Marquez (Netherlands vs West Indies)
The best part about this series has been the opportunity to interact with so many West Indian fans across the generations.
As much as the action on the pitch the interactions off it were equally wonderful.
One such conversation was with Maroon supporter Albert Marquez. At the age of 84 Albert continues to follow the West Indies home and away.
Based in Trinidad, Albert travelled over for the three ODIs vs Netherlands and then took some time out with me to speak about what makes him so devoted after all of these years.
It's both a history lesson but a reminder to us all as to why we continue to bleed Maroon through good times and bad.
