West Indies player ratings (West Indies vs England) and the next selection steps
The streets have been asking for the Caribbean Cricket Podcast player ratings following the West Indies vs England series.
Well we couldn't disappoint. Machel should be in Jamaica right now eating some fried fish & bammy but Lufthansa did him dirty and cancelled his flight.
He used that unforeseen time to jump into the hot seat to give out the player ratings and tell Lufthansa to 'suck out'....

Can West Indies Women reach another World Cup Final? (ft Stacy-Ann King)
Can West Indies Women reach another World Cup Final? (ft Stacy-Ann King)
They may have come into the tournament as underdogs and unfancied but our #MaroonWarriors find themselves one game away from another World Cup final appearance.
Former West Indies international and current broadcaster Stacy-Ann King joined us to talk all things #CWC22 as well analyse what has been a topsy turvey tournament for WIW.
We look at the positives and the areas for improvement but also talk about the development of the Women's game in the Caribbean.
Recent announcements from Cricket West Indies have outlined an academy programme in Antigua for 10-15 women's players and of course the inaugural Women's CPL.
How important will both of those prove to be for the long term health of the game in the region?
Where are the West Indian home fans?
Where are the West Indian home fans?
Another England series and the continued galling sight of West Indians being outnumbered 5-to-95.
For some this doesn't matter as the amount of money made is the priority to an impoverished Cricket West Indies.
However this isnt something specific to England games alone, for the longest while West Indian home fans have been an ever dwindling presence in the Caribbean. If we arent being outnumbered then we arent even present to begin with.
Machel jumped into the 'cuss out' hot seat to demand answers and some out of the box thinking. We surely cant go on like this.

Where does the West Indies men's ODI team go from here?
Where does the West Indies men's ODI team go from here?
Another ODI series defeat but more importantly no ODI Super league points collected.
World Cup qualification is looking OVER STICKY. From the last possible 90 points available the West Indies have only collected 20 points and generally speaking looked completely inept with the bat vs Australia, Ireland and India.
Machel jumped into the 'cuss out' hot seat to explain why this is so much deeper than simply removing Kieron Pollard, Darren Bravo etc..

"We're rebuilding from ground zero" - Kieron Pollard
The Golden generation have said goodbye and there are 10 months to go until the 2022 T20 World Cup. Make no mistake the race is on to get the West Indies up and running with the new blood.
It doesn’t start much harder than facing powerhouse England. Yes they may be in the midst of an existential crisis but that's in the test cricket only.
The Cricket Connoisseur (Aaron Viles) @Thecricketconn1 from the The County Cricket Podcast (@TheCountyCrick2) joined us to run the rule over both sides.
This episode was more than just a guide to the 5 match series this was about looking at the next 10 months as well.

Is this really the nadir for West Indies cricket? (West Indies 1-2 Ireland)
Is this really the nadir for West Indies cricket? (West Indies 1-2 Ireland)
The cuss out levels are reaching a crescendo throughout the Caribbean. Kieron Pollard was already an unpopular leader for some of the more vindictive elements in the media but with a 2-1 series defeat to Ireland on his record - the pressure is reaching boiling point.
Pollard says we have a very serious batting issue in the West Indies and that chopping and changing solves nothing.
We tend to agree but lets dive deep on the talking point of the series and the lessons to learn moving forward.
Santokie and Machel jump into the cuss out 'hot seat' to dissect the issue in true Caribbean Cricket Podcast style.
Come for the 'cuss out' and stay for the famous Caribbean Cricket Podcast series ratings.
